SUMMARY OF THE FUNCTION

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the procurement of the raw materials assigned to him (ingredients or packaging) for all plants in order to ensure the supply of the production lines without interruption. He/she will meet the daily needs of the manufacturing plan and ensure the smooth running of the activities. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes orders for assigned commodities;
  • Prioritize and manage supply issues in order to keep the tight production schedule;
  • Support buyers in their negotiation and decision making strategies;
  • Ensure the sharing of strategic information related to the production plan;
  • Ensure that the supply is respected according to the negotiated conditions;
  • Manage merchandise returns and associated credits;
  • Maintain performance indicators up to date;
  • Update product and/or supplier information sheets;
  • Collaborate in the development of new sources of supply;
  • Perform all other related tasks;

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Have a College diploma or equivalent in a field related to the position;
  • Bilingual (English - French);
  • Knowledge of the Office suite
  • Knowledge of integrated management systems (ERP) is clearly an asset;
  • Planning and management skills as well as good organizational skills;
  • Good knowledge of the manufacturing process and logistics
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Priority management is part of his daily routine;
  • Ability to communicate
