Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales, the Business Development Director is responsible for managing and directing the sales team. They will develop and execute sales strategies, oversee key accounts, and drive business growth.

Responsibilities

- Lead the sales team by setting clear objectives, providing guidance, and monitoring performance;

- Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets;

- Prepare sales forecasts and strategic planning for all clients and the members of his/her team;

- Identify new business opportunities and potential clients;

- Foster strong relationships with key accounts and customers;

- Work in close cooperation with other departments to ensure strong communications and to propose solutions tailored to each situation or client;

- Provide regular sales performance reports and forecasts;

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field;

- 12 to 15 years of experience with proven track record of successful sales management;

- Experience in short-, mid- and long-term strategic sales planning;

- Extensive experience and knowledge of complex sales process, strategic and conceptual selling, forecasting / planning, project management, negotiation and relationship-building with multiple functions at the client level;

- Extensive knowledge of private label sales and development technical characteristics;

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of SAP is a plus;

- Strong English oral and written communication skills;

- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills;

- Strong decision-making and ethical judgment;

- Ability to effectively lead and keep engagement of the team;

- Goal-oriented and results-driven;

- Ability to:

-     Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

-     Work within or lead multidisciplinary teams to work on product development

-     Use personal effectiveness to link relationships, processes, and business methodologies with revenue-producing activities

-     Excellent judgment, strong sense of ethics & integrity

-     Thrive in an entrepreneurial environnement

This position requires the candidate to travel on a regular basis.
