POSITION SUMMARY

In this role, the merchandiser represents Leclerc, a CPG company with a focus on merchandising our iconic brands in grocery stores and mass retail channels and will act as an intermediary between the client and the organization. The merchandiser promotes the various products offered by the organization to customers an ensure sales and merchandising objectives are achieved in the assigned territory. To do this, this professional will need to deliver on the building blocks of merchandising: maximizing distribution, identifying volume opportunities, placing point-of-sale material and displays, maintaining call coverage objectives and executing brand priorities that are set out for you.

 

  • Part-time position: 4 days and 32 hours / week
  • Place of work / territory: Mississauga, Barrie, Toronto, Newmarket, Richmond Hill and Vaughan. 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Responsible for an assigned Sales territory (Major Grocery Retail Chains);
•    Respect of the call cycle for each store in the territory;
•    Distribution of the listed products & Planogram compliance, including out of stock and void items;
•    Merchandise products on promotion and build displays when applicable;
•    Build relationship with Key store Personnel through strong communication and customer service;
•    Promote new products and assist in their introduction on shelf;
•    Validate pricing of products;
•    Report any key findings at store level.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • High school degree;
  • Merchandising experience would be an asset;
  • Previous Sales or work experience in the CPG industry would be an asset;
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as an ability to influence;
  • Be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision, self motivated and passion to win; 
  • Minimum computer skills necessary.
