Reporting to the Plant Engineer, the controls technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, operations, and functionality of electronic, mechanical, robotic equipment in a particular facility. She/he is often required to calibrate, troubleshoot, test and install equipment, and is sometimes responsible for training others how to use equipment properly. She/he must have a thorough understanding of electronic circuits and other high-tech equipment.
Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field or equivalent combination of education/experience considered;
Have a 3-5 years’ progressive technical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferable in food manufacturing.
Practical Experience and working knowledge of RS Logix 5000/500, Factory Talk View Studio, and Panel Builder 32
Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holiday
Availability and willingness to periodically work weekends or work additional hours with plant engineer\coworkers is necessary to work around the production schedule and gain access to equipment\project work.
Availability and willingness to periodically travel to other Leclerc locations for technical troubleshooting\training is required.
