Inventory Coordinator

Position Summary

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of inventory, ensuring both physical and electronic records match precisely to optimize the usage of the inventory management system. The individual will also be responsible for coordinating the production material/ingredient inventory, ensuring inventory control in SAP.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update inventory records;
  • Monitor goods and material movement between departments;
  • Review and apply inventory activities, including movements and deletion
  • Physically count materials in stock and on the production floor.
  • Create inventory reports, recording the quantity, type, and value;
  • Responsible for running report on products for proper rotation;
  • Keep track of all inventory for movement;
  • Monitoring the inventory turnover ratio;
  • Communicate with management of inventory control issues that require investigation;
  • Investigate inventory errors and perform corrective measures; Recommend solutions;
  • Making sure the proper and systematic handling of all inventories in the warehouse;
  • Work closely with production management, scheduling, inventory, and planning departments;
  • Works with quality department on quality issues (on hold products, expired ingredients, etc.)
  • Performs and coordinates physical count of inventory and compare to actual count in SAP;
  • Works with Planner/Scheduler to make sure all material/ingredients are available for scheduled production;
  • Provide training and support for the production employees on the recording of transactions data;
  • Post all adjustments to SAP when discrepancies are found in compliance with the Inventory Control Procedure (070-PRC-0002);
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma / G.E.D.;
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience preferably in the food industry; or equivalent training, education and experience;
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of SAP (is preferable)
  • Demonstrate good organizations skills;
  • Ability to display professional conduct at all times when dealing with employees and other departments.
  •  Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines thereby establishing priorities & completing assignments on time.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a group of people, in order to achieve Leclerc goals
