Reporting to the plant manager the Process Manager executes process improvement projects and recommends improvements for organizational growth. Develop new processes or procedures in order to improve efficiency or quality. The Process Manager will be managing a team of process leads as well as support their training and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and improving the efficiency of process related to the plant’s strategic plan
  • Responsible for the implementation of systems or processes across the plant
  • Develop improvement measures and strategies
  • Updating and maintaining process documentation
  • Implement process to integrate new technology into operations processes
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of process data and metrics 
  • Overseeing and assisting in proper implementation of new processes
  • Develop action plans to improve productivity
  • Lead a team that will be responsible for process assessments, and process design and redesign
  • Drive issue resolution/risk mitigation activities
  • Analyze, identify, and correct data issues related to the lending production pod processes
  • Participate actively in various operational meetings.
  • Set in place and follow KPI and objectives for the different continuous improvement programs and initiatives
  • Supports the team in the implementation and continuous improvement of their respective Daily Management System (DMS) elements
  • Manages the changes brought about the new methods
  • Support the development of the Process Lead by identifying training opportunities
  • Be the connection between corporate expectations and the plants objectives regarding Process/Continuous improvement
  • Some traveling to other Biscuits Leclerc plants will be required

Requirements:

  • Completed Master’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management or Technical Field (Food science) OR Bachelor’s degree plus relevant experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, food industry experience considered an asset
  • Proven knowledge of relevant industry processes
  • Proven knowledge of project management, from A to Z
  • Demonstrated experience with different Lean approached/tools; Lean certification, considered an asset
  • Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong people management skills are a must
  • Must be capable at mentoring and coaching employees for success
  • Experience in troubleshooting and process improvement
  • Proven ability to achieve high performance levels in a complex fast-moving environment
  • Ability to manage through teamwork and influence non-direct reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with SAP, considered an asset
