POSITION SUMMARY

In this role, the merchandiser represents Leclerc with a focus on merchandising our iconic brands in grocery stores and mass retail channels. The merchandiser promotes the various products offered by the organization to customers and ensures sales and merchandising objectives are achieved in the assigned territory. 

 
  • Part-time position: 4 days and 32 hours / week
  • Territory: Brampton, Mississauga, Downtown Toronto, Markham, Vaughan, Barrie

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure good preparation and planning of daily visits (Priorities, POS, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain trusting relationships and excellent customer service with assigned clients.
  • Build and stock our product displays; install the POS.
  • Validate compliance with planograms, product distribution, and in-store price conformity.
  • Ensure proper product rotation on shelves and resolution of out of stock in stores.
  • Actively participate in introducing product innovations in stores.
  • Manage direct delivery clients assigned to them.
  • Identify new business opportunities (e.g., displays, POS, bookings).
  • Responsible for evaluating their territory and identifying market trends.
  • Ensure relevant information is communicated to the team, such as competition, price accuracy, promotions, etc.
  • Effective use of the tablet and internal sales tools (CRM).

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Hold a high school diploma and relevant experience as a merchandiser/sales function in the Consumer Package Goods (CPG).
  • Minimum computer skills required; know how to use Excel & other Microsoft office suite (an asset).
  • Ability to act in accordance with the culture and values of Biscuits Leclerc (Values and Ethics).
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize daily visits efficiently (Planning and Organization).
  • Ability to take responsibility and work with minimal supervision (Autonomy).
  • Ability to quickly establish business connections and gain client trust while offering professional service and a positive representation of Biscuits Leclerc (Client Orientation).
  • Agility to react favorably and proactively to changes, new information, (Flexibility and Adaptability).
