Summary of function

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Sanitation Attendant position is primarily responsible for sanitation/cleaning of production facilities and equipment in accordance with company procedures. In addition, this position has a basic knowledge of equipment and its operation, as well as knowledge of chemical application, and can make basic adjustments to equipment. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment, prioritize to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks and make decisions under pressure.

Responsabilities

 

  • Follow standard sanitation operating procedure guidelines;
  • Ability to use cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, as well as high and low pressure water hoses;
  • Perform machine shutdowns for cleaning purposes; dismantle and reassemble production equipment;
  • Manually clean equipment; rinse, lather, clean and disinfect production equipment; clean equipment in place (CIP), ensuring that all areas meet standard requirements;
  • Maintain building cleanliness and sanitation;
  • Accurately complete daily sanitation documentation (checklists);
  • Respond to telephone service requests to support production needs.

 

Competencies & abilities required

 

  • Ability to work with others in a dynamic team environment;
  • Excellent manual dexterity; Strong physical stamina; Ability to stand for long periods;
  • Ability to read and follow instructions relating to the use of chemicals and cleaning specifications defined by the company;
  • Ability to effectively understand and follow various work guidelines and procedures (including health, safety, hygiene and sanitation), as well as prioritize and organize workload.

 

NIGHT Shift (5X8) - Monday to Friday

Starting salary of $20.59/hr and up to $28.41/hr depending on experience + shift premium (Evening: +$0.50/hr) + shift premium (Night: +$1.00/hr)
