JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, the incumbent of this new position will support the payroll team already in place. This position will allow the candidate to learn a great deal about payroll processing, and does not require a great deal of experience. 
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the payroll team in running the full payroll cycle every 2 weeks (Canada, USA and UK) as well as off-cycle payroll as required. 
  • Process and ensure compliance of all employee payroll documents;
  • Carry out the usual verifications and ensure compliance with current regulations when processing salaries and other employment-related benefits;
  • Reimburse and account for expense accounts;
  • Assist with DAS applicable to the employee's jurisdiction and status; 
  • Assist with monthly reconciliation of insurance premiums for all staff;
  • Assist in the preparation of T4 and other year-end statements;
  • Any other duties related to the job.

SKILLS AND APTITUDES REQUIRED

  • DEP in accounting is an asset, or similar relevant experience;
  • Payroll Compliance Specialist designation is an asset; 
  • Two (2) years' experience in a similar role is an asset;
  • Above all, be highly motivated and interested in the payroll field;
  • Ability and interest in learning new software; 
  • Experience with SAP and Ceridian Dayforce is an asset but not a prerequisite;
  • Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets;
  • Recognized oral and written communication skills in both official languages (French and English), as this position requires working with English-speaking employees.
  • Strong team spirit and collaboration;
  • Be reliable, autonomous, responsible, dynamic, very discreet and able to manage priorities;
