JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Projects, the Project Manager - Engineering is responsible for participating in the establishment of best practices for Leclerc Group plant, as well as supporting the implementation of various projects in collaboration with the plant for which he/she is assigned (Tennessee plant). He is also responsible for various corporate projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in drawing up standard specifications for CAPEX projects;
- Keep abreast of new technologies and propose improvements to standards;
- Participate in the realization of major projects to meet deadlines, budgets and established returns on investment;
- Support the plant with the automation of manufacturing and sanitation processes;
- Work as a team with the company's various departments to include best practices in quality, health & safety and plant sanitation;
- Ensure that the work under his/her responsibility is carried out safely, and act as a leader in health and safety matters;
- Communicate the status of projects to various collaborators and company management;
- Be a guardian of the project management process and suggest improvements where necessary;
- Support management in the development of new products and manufacturing processes;
SKILLS AND APTITUDES- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or automated production engineering, control systems engineering or equivalent;
- Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec;
- 8-10 years experience in project management, ideally in a food or pharmaceutical environment;
- Be available for travel to the plant for which you will be assigned (25% of travel time USA);
- Fluency in written and spoken French and English, as the project manager will be supporting an American plant;
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills;
- Be rigorous and structured in the performance of his/her work;
- Ability to work in collaboration with the Group's various plants;
- Good oral and written communication skills with customers, management and colleagues;
- Have fun at work and enjoy challenges.
