FUNCTION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Operations Accounting Manager, the incumbent's objective will be to focus on in-depth analysis of plant performance, supporting the various plants in terms of financial information, as well as budgetary evaluation of our product costs. The basic work performed in this position will be instrumental in identifying improvement projects aimed at reducing the company's operating costs and maximizing its overall performance. The employee's participation will be requested to support certain projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and analyze key production indicators;
  • Perform costing according to project schedules;
  • Maintain financial performance reports for production lines;
  • Participate in the budgeting process and monitor it on a monthly basis;
  • Maintain monthly plant cost analysis reports and liaise with plant managers;
  • Support plants in calculating return on improvement opportunities;
  • Perform ROI calculations for various projects in collaboration with plant engineering teams;
  • Ensure the integrity of cost of goods sold data and follow up with the various stakeholders;
  • Analyze inventory accounts and value products;
  • Verify material consumption processes;
 
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting profile;
  • 8 to 10 years' relevant experience in a similar position;
  • CPA designation would be an asset;
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset;
  • Problem-solving skills;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Very good computer skills and advanced Excel knowledge; knowledge of SAP software would be an asset;
  • Organization, thoroughness and professionalism.
