FUNCTION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Merchandiser is responsible for representing the company by ensuring that the various products offered are available, visible and attractive to customers. He/she also assists the sales team in their tasks.

  • Part-time position: 2 days or 16 hours / week
  • Workplace / Territory: Montreal
 RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Build relationships with key store personnel through communication and excellent customer service;
  • Support sales representatives;
  • Build and fill product displays; install POS;
  • Validate planograms, spaces and products on shelf;
  • Ensure product rotation and check expiration dates;
  • Create product layouts in store;
  • Examine shelves, list missing products;
  • Resolve stock-outs;
  • Validate product retail prices;
  • Follow-up on sales representatives' territories when they are absent;
  • Effective use of tablet and internal sales tools;
  • Follow-up on administrative tasks (time sheet, visit summary).
 SKILLS AND APTITUDES REQUIRED 
  • High school diploma;
  • Minimum computer skills required; ability to use Excel (an asset);
  • Relevant experience as a merchandiser, ideally acquired in the food industry;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Be proactive, efficient and well-organized;
  • Good physical condition;
  • Team player;
  • Valid driver's license and car;
  • Have access to a reliable WIFI network;
  • Must live in the area (an asset).
