Team leader-Night Shift

Position Summary

Is a leadership resource to team members, providing knowledge, motivation and support. He/She will encourage team effort and supportive attitudes between workers. The Team Leader is responsible for daily supervision of production activities and ensures that the production team is in compliance with company policies, programs and standards.

Responsibilities

Leads the production team in day-to-day activities, acts as a resource and shares knowledge.Ensures that employees follow safe practices and addresses unsafe activities.Operates multi-function process control machinery (and ERP system) through control panels, computer terminals or other control systems.Performs basic setup, operation, cleanup, for line equipment.Maintains production line operation by addressing production process issues, making equipment adjustments, reporting data.and addressing issues in a timely manner.Fosters an effective working relationship with the maintenance team and other departments.Supports the production team by spending time on the floor, leading by example.In the BUL's absence, leads the production team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required;
• Previous manufacturing and/or food production related field experience is preferred;
• Knowledge of food safety standards is preferred;
• Experience using Microsoft Office and other computer based applications;
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and consistently changing environment
• Regular and reliable attendance is necessary
• Excellent manual dexterity;
• Strong physical endurance; ability to lift up to 30lbs;
• Ability to stand for long periods of time;
• Must be flexible with work hours, able to work occassional overtime as needed
