Job Summary
The maintenance technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic systems in an automated environment while adhering to safety standards. Additionally, they will carry out actions related to the organization's preventive maintenance program.
Salary: $29.47/hour, potentially increasing to $36.10/hour based on experience + shift premium (Evening: +$0.50/hour) + shift premium (Night: +$1.00/hour)Possible Work Shifts:
- Evening Shift (5x8 hours) - 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
- Night Shift (4x10 hours) - 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekend Shift (3x12 hours) - 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Address production issues related to maintenance and participate in their resolution.
- Perform maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Respond to emergency calls for mechanical issues.
- Locate and repair faults in electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electromechanical equipment.
- Replace or refurbish shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components.
- Propose performance improvement projects.
- Participate in the implementation and commissioning of equipment.
- Test equipment to ensure performance.
- Provide technical support to production and other departments.
- Prevent problems by regularly inspecting equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance (temperature measurement, vibration analysis, ultrasound, oil and glycol sampling).
- Fill out order forms.
- Adhere to food production rules (sanitation and safety).
Skills and Abilities:
- Hold a professional diploma in electromechanics of automated systems or industrial mechanics or other relevant industrial fields with experience.
- Have a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in similar functions.
- Be recognized for precision, autonomy, and efficiency.
- Be punctual, flexible, versatile, and methodical.
- Have good learning ability and excellent physical endurance.
