SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONReporting to the Senior Director Innovation, R&D and co-manufacturing, the Business Development Manager, Co-Packing will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve corporate objectives. His role will be to steer co-manufacturing projects, negotiate contractual agreements, and find new growth levers.

RESPONSIBILITIES• Plan growth strategies to achieve the company's sales targets • Effectively negotiate various agreements and contract terms with co-manufacturers • Identify key managers and decision-makers to establish a solid relationship with them on a partnership basis • Target business opportunities as directed• Exercise leadership in managing accounts and projects under his responsibility• Determine and monitor relevant performance indicators• Collaborate and regularly liaise with existing teams and clients to ensure solid, situation-specific communication• Establish annual budgets • Work with engineering to establish the necessary investment costs for a project • Prepare and lead project kick-off meetings with R&D• Identify and evaluate potential co-packers for product manufacturing • Ensure compliance of co-packers with quality standards and industry regulations• Collaborate with internal teams to define production requirements and product specifications• Develop and maintain a database of qualified co-packers • Ensure smooth communication between co-packers and in-house teams to ensure production deadlines are met

REQUIRED SKILLS AND APTITUDES • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field of study• Two to five years of experience in sales and co-manufacturing field• Ability to use Microsoft Office functions (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as enterprise systems (knowledge of SAP would be an asset) • Ability to assess the importance, urgency, and level of risks associated with situations involving different levels of complexity and ambiguity • Demonstrate the ability to seize opportunities and take calculated risks in order to maximize profitability and achieve business objectives• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines • High aptitude for communicating, listening, and influencing to steer clients towards mutually beneficial avenues • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the development of various projects • Demonstrate an interest in new product development
