As a Product Manager, you will play a strategic role in the development and diversification of Leclerc's national brands. You will be the main contributor to product innovation by working closely with the R&D, innovation, production, and marketing teams to transform consumer insights into concrete opportunities. Your objective: to manage the product life cycle while maximizing their impact on the Canadian and North American markets.

 

Your Main Tasks:

  1. Product Innovation and Development:
    • Identify diversification opportunities by exploring new categories, co-brandings, or line extensions to capitalize on the national brands' notoriety.
    • Collaborate closely with the R&D and innovation teams to develop effective briefs and propose product solutions that meet emerging consumer needs.
    • Ensure the feasibility of projects by considering industrial constraints, costs, and time-to-market.
  2. Strategic Positioning and Range Management:
    • Define and refine the range positioning based on consumer insights and competitive opportunities.
    • Prioritize target markets and ensure that go-to-market strategies (distribution, pricing, promotions) are optimal for each segment.
    • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure successful product launches aligned with commercial objectives.
  3. Data Exploitation and Market Analysis:
    • Conduct continuous strategic monitoring of competitor performance and market trends.
    • Analyze consumer data to identify niches and growth opportunities, and transform these analyses into concrete actions to expand product ranges.
  4. Proactive Product Lifecycle Management:
    • Oversee the complete product lifecycle from launch to withdrawal or repositioning.
    • Propose improvements or innovations to maintain product competitiveness based on market dynamics.
    • Monitor product performance (sales, market share, customer feedback) and recommend strategic adjustments.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Operational Execution:
    • Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure that projects are feasible and aligned with industrial capabilities and quality standards.
    • With the sales team: Develop product arguments and actively participate in client presentations (banners) across the country.

 

Your Profile:

  • Education: University degree in Marketing, Management, or Commerce.
  • Experience: 7+ years in product management, strategic marketing, or innovation, ideally in the food industry or fast-moving consumer goods.
  • Key Skills:
    • Strategic Vision and Innovation: Ability to identify growth opportunities and develop innovative and differentiating product concepts.
    • Project Management: Organized, rigorous, and able to manage multiple projects while respecting deadlines and budgets.
    • Analysis and Optimization: Leverage market data to guide decisions and maximize range performance.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with internal teams and external partners to maximize initiative success.
    • Communication: Present concepts and results clearly and impactfully.
