Role summary


Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, you will take on a variety of responsibilities combining contract and legal file management with administrative tasks. Your role is primarily to support the legal team and, as needed, other members of the finance department in administrative tasks.

 

Responsibilities


  • Ensure complete follow-up of various types of legal and other documents, drafted in French and English, mainly with customers and suppliers
  • Assist in the preparation and follow-up of commercial and employment law cases
  • Assist in the verification, revision and drafting of various legal and other documents
  • Format documents
  • Ensure that deadlines are met for each task
  • Carry out various types of research
  • Enter contract data in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Draft correspondence
  • Translate documents using a translation software
  • Organize, scan, file and store various documents in an orderly fashion
  • Plan and coordinate meetings
  • Help with other administrative tasks

 

Required Skills and abilities


  • College diploma in legal technique or secretarial studies or relevant experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Advanced level of French and English, both spoken and written, due to the international nature of our activities;
  • Very good knowledge of the Office 365 suite (Outlook, Word and Excel) as well as Acrobat (PDF);
  • Ability to manage several files simultaneously;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Professional and committed to client service;
  • Rigorous and detail-oriented;
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Versatile and resourceful.
