Position Summary

You will be responsible for production operations for your assigned line. You will provide engaging leadership to your team while ensuring smooth communication between departments. You will support the development of your team members and play a key role in operational performance. 🍪

Responsibilities

You contribute to achieving the company’s objectives through the following actions:
•    Act as a health and safety leader within your unit;
•    Collaborate with various departments to ensure product compliance and equipment reliability;
•    Plan resources by line and by shift according to operational needs;
•    Measure budget/actual variances and initiate appropriate corrective actions;
•    Participate in the annual budget process;
•    Develop continuous improvement projects and prioritize initiatives based on potential gains;
•    Propose investment projects to plant management;
•    Develop your team to optimize line start-ups, changeovers and end-of-shift activities;
•    Develop your team in internal programs (6S, H&S, Good Practices) and ensure they are maintained;
•    Coach team leaders in their responsibilities;
•    Ensure follow-up on training, performance and development/succession plans;
•    Communicate successes and issues within your sector;
•    Conduct floor walks and audits (H&S, 6S, training, Good Practices);
•    Perform any other related duties.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who can:
•    Hold a bachelor’s degree in operations management and logistics, industrial/food/chemical/mechanical engineering, food science or equivalent education/experience;
•    Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in team management or supervision;
•    Know food safety standards (HACCP, GFSI/BRC, SQF, GMP);
•    Have experience in continuous improvement (Lean, 6S, Six Sigma);
•    Be proficient with the Office suite; SAP knowledge is an asset;
•    Demonstrate positive leadership and excellent interpersonal skills;
•    Be fluent in English (asset);
•    Work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
•    Demonstrate strong decision-making skills.

 

Salary:
Starting wage of   /h, increasing up to /h depending on experience
